After premiering at Dinard Film Festival and the LOCO London Comedy Film Festival – where it was nominated for the 2017 Discovery Award – Chubby Funny showed at the East End Film Festival, before being released in UK cinemas on the 30th June.
Harry Michell is an award-winning comedian and filmmaker. He writes and performs in sketch show Minor Delays, one of the best reviewed shows of 2014 and 2015 according to the British Comedy Guide. His short film Guinea Pig premiered at the London Short Film Festival where it was nominated for the Funny Sh*t award, and his musical comedy show I am, I am was a runner up a the 2013 Musical Comedy Awards. Chubby Funny is his debut feature.
Chubby Funny also marks the debut feature for producer Helen Simmons of Guinea Pig Productions, and is executive produced by Free Range Films (The Death of Stalin, My Cousin Rachel, Le Weekend) and Aimimage Productions (Ill Manors, Hector).
